Mykhailo Mudryk Ruled Out for Up to Eight Weeks With Ankle Injury

Tottenham Hotspur winger Mykhailo Mudryk is facing another period on the sidelines after picking up an ankle injury during a training session. The 25-year-old Ukrainian international is expected to be out of action for approximately six to eight weeks following the training ground incident earlier this week.

The physical setback comes shortly after Mudryk made his competitive comeback after roughly 20 months away from action. He featured as a late substitute for Tottenham in their goalless draw against Nottingham Forest on September 5, which served as his club debut.

Setback for Tottenham’s Attacking Plans

Mudryk moved to Tottenham on transfer deadline day on a season-long loan agreement from Chelsea. Spurs manager Roberto De Zerbi brought in the forward to inject additional speed and attacking variety into the squad, while noting that the player required patience and time to build up his physical condition after such an extended layoff.

The ankle problem interrupts Mudryk’s efforts to regain full match fitness and will keep him out of contention until well after the September international break. The winger is now projected to miss multiple upcoming fixtures across Tottenham’s domestic campaign as he begins his rehabilitation process.
