Luis de la Fuente Extends Spain Contract Through 2030

Spanish national football team head coach Luis de la Fuente has committed his future to the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF), agreeing to a contract extension that will keep him in charge through the 2030 FIFA World Cup.

The 65-year-old manager had previously been tied to an agreement scheduled to conclude following Euro 2028. Under the updated arrangement, De la Fuente is set to guide the national team into a tournament that will be co-hosted by Spain alongside Portugal and North African nation Morocco.

RFEF president Rafael Louzán confirmed that the refreshed contract features improved financial terms for the head coach.
