Fireboy DML to Release Fifth Album ZUKO! in October 2026

Nigerian singer and songwriter Fireboy DML has scheduled the release of his fifth studio album, titled ZUKO!, for Friday, October 16, 2026. The announcement marks the latest phase for the YBNL Nation recording artist as he prepares to deliver a new full-length project to his global audience.

The release date was revealed alongside a cinematic promotional teaser featuring Fireboy DML dressed in a tailored red suit with bandages wrapped around his head, indicating a stylized visual and narrative direction for the upcoming campaign.

Catalog Expansion and Regional Sounds

ZUKO! serves as the follow-up to his 2024 full-length release, Adedamola. The upcoming record further broadens an album catalog that began with his 2019 debut, Laughter, Tears & Goosebumps, and continued with Apollo in 2020 and Playboy in 2022.

Ahead of the album’s formal rollout, the musician has introduced new material through recent standalone releases and collaborative efforts. These include “Imali,” a collaboration featuring South African acts Jazzwrld and Thukuthela that tapped into three-step Afro House rhythms, alongside additional tracks such as “Dopamine” and “Story.”

For the African music market, consistent album cycles from high-profile artists continue to strengthen catalog value across international streaming platforms. Fireboy DML’s continued cadence also illustrates how established Afrobeats performers are actively integrating divergent continental sounds, such as South African electronic music styles, into their core repertoire.
