Wizkid Announces Headline Shows in Abuja and Lagos for December 2026

Nigerian Afrobeats star Wizkid has confirmed dates for two major headline appearances in Nigeria scheduled for December 2026. The upcoming shows will see the singer take the stage in both Abuja and Lagos as part of the country’s annual end-of-year Detty December entertainment calendar.

The first performance is scheduled for Sunday, December 13, 2026, where Wizkid will headline the Live Out Loud Music Festival in Abuja. The concert will be hosted at Eagle Square in the Federal Capital Territory, with gates set to open at 4:00 p.m. and live proceedings running between 5:00 p.m. and 11:55 p.m. Ticket sales and reservations have launched via the Tix Africa platform.

Following his engagement in Abuja, the Grammy Award-winning performer will travel south to Lagos to headline the opening night of the Detty December Fest on Friday, December 18, 2026. These appearances mark key concert bookings for the artist within Nigeria’s festive performance circuit.

Implications for the Nigerian Live Music Sector

The staging of large-scale headline concerts in both the administrative capital and commercial hub highlights the ongoing strength of Nigeria’s domestic live performance circuit. Year-end concert periods serve as critical commercial windows for the local music industry, attracting both resident music fans and returning diaspora travelers.

By securing top-tier billing across multi-city events, festival organizers continue to rely on flagship Afrobeats talent to drive ticketing demand, corporate sponsorship, and broader event-driven tourism during the festive period.
